Is how you screw up a debut. Dammit Toyota,
the
hype train left the station years ago with this damn car. It’s so watered down compared to the original concept it’s pathetic.

just assume it will be hideous... that way you’re probably right :p

“R eveal”
Do we know what it looks like? Nope, still in camo
Do we know what it sounds like? Nope, live feed video sound didn’t pick it up because it’s so boringly quiet
Do we know official stats yet? Nope still speculation, Toyota hasn’t said a word.
Do we know how fast it can go up the hill? Nope, driver looked like they were on their way to church on a Sunday morning.
How could this have been worse?

M. Night Shayamalan plot twist: Toyota only offers the actual production car in camo paint schemes.

Also just show us the damn car without camo on it. I’m losing interest rapidly at this point.

Its true, this is a case study for how not to build excitement in a new product.

What is it, I can't see anything.

It’s automatic only any has a BMW I6 without the BMW badge. I've just found my new DC Beltway commuter car!

“ DC commuter”
Poor Supra... It wasn't supposed to be like this

Hmm. Who’s next next with the “Japanese performance car legacy” new model? Acura failed pretty miserably with the same kind of hype-building as Toyota is doing now. Mazda and Mitsu seem unlikely to bring back any old names (rx-9, PLEASE).
So... I suppose the new, likely electric Gt-r? Come on Nissan, pull a Ford GT and show your competition how a reveal is done.

It will be in good company with the other varying-degrees-of-interesting cars with Maryland plates, including my own, that each evening crawl northward along 495 in Virginia, hoping to one day actually work in Maryland, or at least in DC so we can take the cursed Metro to work and not abuse our cars so much.

It’s like Toyota saw how
well things went for Honda with the NSX and decided to just copy their entire playbook.

Exhibit B: the "new" Acura NSX.

Hey woah. Which concept are you referring to?

The FT-1

IMO that was a pig too. I reckon it’s been all downhill since the pleasing FT-HS
